Hello! My name is Kaylan,
I am born and raised in Calgary, AB.
I am wife to the funniest, most supportive, yet incredibly annoying husband. I am mother to an absolutely beautiful angel of a daughter. In my spare time you can find me visiting with our families, trying new restaurants, reading, gardening, bike riding and simply enjoying life with the ones I love.
I have been a practicing registered Dental Hygienist for over 12 years. I have gained experience in orthodontics, laser therapy, local anaesthesia and of course myofunctional therapy. As an experienced dental hygienist, I am passionate about maintaining both oral health and systemic health, but what excites me the most is advancing the connection between the two; starting with healthy breathing and tackling one dysfunction at a time.
I am confident in setting a new standard of care as we work together to find the root causes of dysfunction, and create an individualized plan to achieve the four goals of myofunctional therapy: lip seal, tongue posture, nasal breathing, and a correct swallow. My commitment to you is in providing expert knowledge, and spreading awareness in hopes of changing the way we view common symptoms: mouth breathing, snoring, grinding/clenching, TMJ pain and open mouth posture. Just because they are common, does not mean they are okay! As myofunctional therapists we specialize in neurological training of the mouth, face and neck muscles.
I look forward to working with you and helping you discover all the health benefits Myofunctional Therapy has to offer!
